A QUARTER OF AMERICANS ARE AFRAID OF LOSING THEIR JOBS

How secure do you feel about your job? It turns out, being employed isn’t enough to make people feel secure in their job these days. According to a new survey, 25% of Americans with jobs are worried about losing theirs in the next year.

  • Nearly three-quarters (74%) want to make themselves more valuable to their employers.
  • While 78% are interested in upskilling at their current job, 54% say the skills needed to be a successful professional are different than they were five years ago.
  • The skills respondents say are most valuable that they’d be interested in learning are traits of leadership (18%), management or planning (14%) and understanding how to use AI (14%).

  • If their job offered an opportunity to upskill within the next six months, 82% would be interested.
